On 11 June 2007 The United Regional Committee at the meeting in Chorin, Germany, has decided to grant funding
for the projectnr 3.B1.2007.04 named:
"Developing innovative infrastructure of Training and Research Center for Renewable Energy Sources in Ostoja
located in The Pomerania Euroregion'.
prepared by the Community Initiative INTERREG III Polish-German Border Line in the area of Federal Lands
Mecklenburg Western Pomerania / Brandenburg and Poland (Western Province)
Priority B - Improve the technical infrastructure and tourism
Action B-1: Actions to further improve cross-border business-related and technical infrastructure in order
to exploit potentials of innovative region.
The aim of the project is to improve cross-border research and science innovative infrastructure
of Training and Research Center in Renewable Energy in Ostoja
through the purchase of specialized equipment and facilities that use renewable sources of energy.
In this project two buildings will be adapted to create four new science rooms and laboratories:
1. Research stations - measuring the intensity of solar radiation,
2. Research station of photovoltaic panels (PV)
3. Automatic meteorological station
4. Cogeneration system based on the oil microturbine
The technical equipment will be used by the science and research institutions of Pomerania Euroregion. for research on innovative technologies using renewable energy sources, and will be used to define and organize shared Polish-German research projects.
In addition, as part of the project, among others plans the following are included:
- Competition for students of architecture from the Pomerania Euroregion for the best project of developing the area around the
Training and Research Center for Renewable Energy Sources in Ostoja
- The competition of knowledge about renewable energy sources for students of Euroregion Pomerania,
- Events, seminars, conferences, presenting the latest scientific achievements in the field of renewable energy
The project is realized with the participation of German Institute of Energy and Environment in Stralsund and The Vocational School in Eberswalde.
